Pat, Oh chin up! Guess you're off to Ireland soon. Enjoy! I've boring stuff to sort out at home too.

Still living in (MISERY), that is, missouri-waiting to sell our house.

Then off to dry land.

Terry,

Would love to hear more of your chanting and singing and perhaps release them there :-)

Lift my soul high and low...

I have an online record store thru my website. I spent about a year listening to cd's & choosing music that I thought was appropriate for Healing & Meditation.

Here is the address:

Love to all,

Zhi Gang Sha has published a book on Divine Soul Songs. If you love to connect with your soul through healing songs and music and also want to create healing songs by yourself....check it out on Amazon or his website www.drsha.com

Thanks Deborah!

I'll look them up. I've posted 2 pieces of music and let me know what you think of the Tibetan sound (which was in the John Harrison's CD). I bought the mp3 online (as they're affordable :-) ).

Enjoy!

For anyone who enjoys Singing Bowls, I thought I'd post a list of the CDs I have & love to use for sessions.

( if you go on Amazon.com or other sites you can usually hear clips from each of them):

Benjamin Iobst Seven Metals
Deuter Tibet Nada Himalaya 2
Rainer Tillmann The Sounds of Planets/1 Nada
Rainer Tillmann Chakra Delight
Diane Mandle Return to Om

As to my favorites out of them, its a bit of a toss-up
I would have to say the Deuter/ Tibet & Tillmann's
Sounds of Planets are the top two, followed by Chakra
Delight & Seven Metals then Return to Om.

They say to play them through speakers, rather than using headphones for the energetic "sound bath" effect throughout the room. It is said they raise the frequency of the space as well as that of the listener.

If you have a moment scout out a few websites on the
singing bowls. And look up Diane Mandel's site
www.soundenergyhealing.com she has a clip of her bowl playing, and you can find quite a few good ones on youtube.com as well.

When I use the bowls at the beginning of a session, it tends to focus & center both the client & myself into the present moment. The calming effect is almost immediate & brings on a deep exhalation right from the start.

I also like using the bowls at the conclusion, as a gentle way of transitioning clients back to conscious awareness. If it is at the end of a massage treatment & the client is face down - I will often strike the bowl - bringing it slowly around each side of the head. Then sweeping it up higher, striking it again & making long figure eight motions down over the body 3 times finally placing the bowl on the upper to mid back - tapping it gently, then playing a couple of other bowls very quietly - before ending.

This allows my clients to resurface from the deeply relaxed state into a peaceful state of awareness, then I let them take
a few moments for themselves as I leave the room.

I hope other's will share how they like to use their bowls, either for themselves or with their clients!

Had a great evening of yoga and chanting. Beautiful guitar music by Jack Harrison. For a taste ...http://linkbee.com/74VT

There's also Tibetan Bowl music on the CD Wind Across the Sea.
